“This is a very proud moment and a high point in my career” says Dr Laslett and “I feel privileged to receive such an honour, the benefit of which will be for my patients”.
Dr Laslett recognised a number of people in his career who have influenced and supported him; namely the teachings from his early clinical mentors and encouragement from his wife.
The specialist scope that was gazetted in November 2012 defines the Physiotherapy Specialists as expert physiotherapists who have advanced education, knowledge and skills to practise within a specific area of clinical practice.
Maree Grbin commented that “the Board process to develop the scope is grounded in the purpose of the Board; to improve the health and safety of the population.”
